Facilities

Library: The library facility includes books and journals. At present, there are about 6300 books (approximately) in the departmental library and ten national and international journals are subscribed. 

Instrumentation: The major equipment facility includes NMR Spectrometer (400 MHz), UV-visible spectrophotometer, Cyclic Voltameter, Microwave Synthesizer, Thermal Analyzer, Ultrasonic Interferrometer, Magnetic Susceptibility Balance, Particle Size Analyzer, Rotary Evaporator with Rota Chill, Tubular Furnace, Microwave Muffle Furnace, Fourier Transform Infra Red Spectrophotometer, Density and Sound Velocity Analyzer (DSA5000M with Abbemat 300), Louise Microviscometer, Density Meter Analyzer, Fluorescence Spectrophotometer, BET Surface Area Analyzer, Muffle Furnace, Sonicator and Glove Box. The Department has setup a Liquid Nitrogen Plant of 60 litre/day capacity under RUSA Plan in 2016. Computer facility to each faculty member, office and students with Internet and Xerox facilities are also available in the Department.

In addition, Liquid Nitrogen Plant is also running in the Department.

Fellowships: The Department also offers fellowship to M.Phil. (02) and Ph.D. (05) students and Merit/Merit-cum-means (02), and A.C. Jain scholarship (01) to M.Sc. students.
