A two-day workshop was successfully organized by Science Club, Utsaah, University of Jammu from 17th to 18th March hosted in the department of Zoology during the 10-day multi art festival Duggar Darpan in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts, Regional Center. The program aimed to bring out creativity in the form of art and models on the day 1 theme of creative brain and day 2 themed on scientific marvels. More than 100 participants including distinguished faculty, teaching and non-teaching staff, students and scholars attended in two days’ workshop enjoyed learning about creative brain and scientific marvels of Jammu in the form of displays, presentations and interaction sessions. The Chief Guest of the day 2 function, Prof. Naresh Padha, Dean Academic Affairs, University of Jammu encouraged participants and coordinators of various clubs. He motivated the gathering with his visionary talk about new learning methodology and emphasized on keeping teaching more interactive and interesting. He interacted with participants and appreciated each of the display in great detail. A heartily welcome note was addressed by Convener, Utsaah, the clubs, University of Jammu, Prof. Satnam Kour. She detailed about the 10-day multi art festival, and appreciated each of the club coordinator with great enthusiasm and also mentioned about the beautiful line up of final day event on 20th March. A brief report of two-day workshop was presented by Dr Chinmoyee Maharana, Coordinator, Science Club, Utsaah. The first prize winner for Creative Brain Art competition is Sahil Wassan, and second prize was jointly won by Raavish Urooj and Shilpa Devi. A creative Brain Quiz was taken by participants and the winners of the challenge were Gayatri Devi, Zaheen Shokat and Kanak Bali who scored 100 percent. On the theme of day 2, the arts and models of scientific marvels, the first prize was won by Vaishali Sharma and second prize was won by Ankit Sharma. Among distinguished dignitaries present were Prof. Suman Jamwal, Dr Parvinder Kumar, Dr Garima Gupta, Dr Suvidha Khanna, and Mr Rakesh. A formal vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Sadaaf Shah. The two-day workshop of Science Club was very appreciated by all the participants mainly for the themes of creativity and healthy snack, as healthy body can harbor a healthy mind.
