For the candidates (except SC/ST categories), the minimum eligibility is 50% marks aggregate or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination as per the Program-Specific Eligibility. In case of SC/ST the minimum eligibility is 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination as per the Program-Specific Eligibility.
Notwithstanding anything contained in the Statutes, a candidate who is not permanent resident/domicile of the territorial jurisdiction of the University of Jammu, but has passed in the qualifying examination with not less than 60% marks from a University other than the University of Jammu, shall also be considered for admission subject to the condition that the number of seats under this category shall not exceed 30% of the total number of seats available in a programme of study.
NOTE: For admissions to the programmes, which are governed by the Regulations of the Regulatory Bodies, such as All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Bar Council of India (BCI), National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) etc., the University adheres to the Minimum Eligibility requirements prescribed under the respective regulations of the concerned bodies.
