• P.G. Department of Commerce, University of Jammu organized a special lecture on “Supply Chain Transformation in FCI” under the Academic lecture series on 9^th May, 2024 for the faulty members, students and scholars. 

• The Department of Commerce, University of Jammu successfully facilitated an Industrial Visit for its M.Com. Students to Shri KedarnathStonex, a prominent manufacturer and trader of granite in Kishangarh, Rajasthan from 19-25 April,2024.

• The students from Department of Commerce, University of Jammu on 26^th February, 2024 successfully completed Advanced Course on Microsoft Excel offered in collaboration with National Institute for Electronics and Information and Technology.

  

   

• The students of Department of Commerce participated in the One week workshop on "Communication and Personality Development". The Resource person was Ms. Neetu Dhar, Chief Coordinator and Master Trainer Jammu and Kashmir Dairy Producers, Processors and Marketing Cooperatives Ltd.

  

   

   

  P. G. Department of Commerce organized an insightful field visit to J&K Bank (Town Hall Branch) on February 6th, 2024, exclusively for the students of M Com. fourth semester. The visit aimed at providing the students with a practical understanding of financial operations and management. Under the guidance of Mr. Rakesh Gupta, Branch Head, J&K Bank (Town Hall), students had the opportunity to interact with industry professionals, which delve into various facets of banking & finance, gaining firsthand experience in areas such as investment banking, risk management, credit analysis and financial advisory services. 

  

  

• The Department of Commerce at the University of Jammu recently convened a meeting of the Board of Studies (BOS) in the Office Chamber of Head of Department of Commerce on January 30, 2024. The meeting was held to approve the syllabi of B.Com. Honours 7^th and 8^th semester (NEP) and B.Com Honours with research 8^th semester under NEP. 

  

• The Commerce Department of the University of Jammu commemorated Martyrs' Day on January 30, 2024 with a solemn tribute to the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. As a part of the commemorative event, Head of the Department, Dr. Jeevan Jyoti, faculty members and students gathered to pay homage to the martyrs who made unparalleled sacrifices during India's struggle for freedom. 

  

• The Department of Commerce, University of Jammu organised a Lecture on ‘Individual Behaviour in Organisation’ on January 29, 2024 to equip the students with the practical knowledge about the intricacies of human behavior within organizational settings. Dr. Kavita Shastri, a HR expert captivated the audience with insights garnered from years of research and practical experience. 

  

• P. G. Department of Commerce organized an insightful field visit to Reliance Mart on January 5th, 2024, exclusively for the students of M Com third semester. The visit aimed at providing the students with a practical understanding of the retail industry and its dynamics.
