Introduction

Department of Commerce

The Department of Commerce established in the year 1964, has now been upgraded to Department of Research Studies phase III (DRS-SAP III) of UGC, with financial support of Rs. 90 Lakhs for the period of 2015-2020. The SAP (Special Assistance Programme) has helped the department to attain new heights in academics and research activities. The library is equipped with wide array of international & national books and journals, dissertations and Ph.D. thesis. The department is running various programmes namely, M.Com. with specialisations in Finance, Marketing and Human Resource Management and Ph.D. The students have been employed in various central and state level prestigious jobs in Banks, Kashmir Administrative Services, Govt. Administrative Offices, Higher Education, Corporate Sectors, etc. At Global level they are placed in International Business Schools like University of Louisville, USA; The University of South Pacific, Fiji; University of Almaya and University of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
