Programme Outcomes
PO1: Assists in understanding the defence and strategic thoughts that influence and shape national and international security policies and strategies.
PO2: Enable to analyze threats and design appropriate strategic and diplomatic responses to them.
PO3: Develop a working knowledge of the most prominent features of India’s national security construct, issues related to India’s diplomatic relations with neighbouring countries and India’s location in global political scene.
PO4: Using qualitative and/or quantitative methods to convey key security studies concepts, along with the language, logic and legal foundations of defence and security studies with an emphasis on key actors shaping it.
PO5: Conceptualize potential solutions to contemporary problems and anticipate future national security challenges and threats.
PO6: Gain skills through class simulations and instruction in analytical thinking and reasoning, professional writing and public speaking and presenting.
PO7: Apply both theoretical and practical approaches to complex national security problems, employing appropriate context to a decision-making framework.
PO8: Understanding of global peace and conflict resolution processes as ways of dealing with national security issues and international politics.
PO9: Overall understanding of South-Central Asian history, culture, and politics within the limits of multidisciplinary engagement
