74th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism at Bhaderwah Campus University ofJammu.
Academic Coordinator Bhaderwah Campus Dr Kuljit Singh unfurled the tricolour on behalf of Rector Bhaderwah Campus. Rector Bhaderwah Campus Prof Rahul Gupta while congratulating on the eve of Republic Day said that the Constitution of independent India came into existence on this day in the year 1950 which provides equal fundamental rights to every citizen of the country irrespective of any caste, creed, colour or religion. He further said that Our army, paramilitary forces and numerous officers and staff of the Central and State governments worked in difficult conditions in partnership with the common people to perform an outstanding task in providing relief to those who were stranded.
Dr Kuljit Singh Academic Coordinator Bhaderwah Campus while speaking on the occasion said that as a responsible citizen every stakeholder should contribute in the developmental drive.
He said that this day reminds us of our freedom struggle and how the great freedom fighters of our country sacrificed their lives to Purn Swaraj.
Students from the School of Education Bhaderwah Campus, teaching and non teaching staff of the Campus attended the Republic Day function.
On the occasion, students of School of Education presented colourful cultural bonanza depicting the culture and sacrifices of our freedom fighters.
