Bhaderwah Campus Organises Workshop on “Start-up and Entrepreneurship”

Bhaderwah, August 19: The School of Management Studies (SOMS), Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu, organised a one-day workshop on “Start-up and Entrepreneurship” in collaboration with Mudralaya Fintech Pvt. Ltd., with the objective of developing an entrepreneurial mindset among students and providing them with practical exposure to the business world. Dr. Umesh Choudhary, Incharge Head, SOMS, was the overall coordinator.

 

The workshop was organised under the leadership of Prof. Rahul Gupta, Rector, Bhaderwah Campus, who appreciated the initiative and emphasised the importance of experiential learning, innovation and entrepreneurship among students.

 

The programme was attended by Vinod Sharma, S.P. Bhaderwah, as Chief Guest, and Dr. Nelu Zia, Licensed Psychologist from the USA, as Guest of Honour. Representatives of Mudralaya Fintech Pvt. Ltd., including Kunal Dalotra, CEO; Rupali Thakur, CMO; and Rohit, Founder’s Associate, interacted with the students and shared valuable insights into entrepreneurship, business planning and venture development.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Umesh Choudhary highlighted the entrepreneurial achievements of SOMS students and stated that the School is committed to nurturing students as job creators, innovators and future entrepreneurs.

 

A major attraction of the workshop was the presentation of six innovative business ideas by students of BBA, B.Com and MBA. The students presented their concepts and business models and received constructive feedback from the Mudralaya Fintech team on market potential, scalability and commercial viability.

 

The workshop provided students with valuable industry exposure and a practical understanding of transforming innovative ideas into sustainable business ventures. Dr. Alyas Ahmed presented the vote of thanks.

 

Faculty members, including Dr. Mohammed Avais, Amit, Dr. Umar Sadeeq, Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, Dr. Shabir Hussain, Surbhi Langeh and Asma Jamil, actively contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.

 

The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment by SOMS to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, industry interaction and experiential learning among students.
