Declamation Competition organised by Ramnagar Campus
The Ramnagar Campus of the University of Jammu today organized a Declamation Competition on the theme “Women in Contemporary India”, providing a platform for students to express their views on the challenges, achievements, and evolving roles of women in modern society.
The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Vinod Sharma, Director, Ramnagar Campus. It was organized by the Convenor, Dr. Bachitter Singh, with the support of the Advisory Committee comprising Dr. Uma Prasher and Dr. Rajesh Kumar Bhandari.
Students participated enthusiastically and presented thought-provoking speeches highlighting diverse aspects of women’s empowerment, gender equality, and societal transformation. Their performances reflected awareness, confidence, and strong oratory skills.
Saika Khanam secured the first position, while Kashish Gupta was awarded the second prize. The third prize was shared jointly by Taiba Khanam and Shivani.
Other participants, including Achla Devi, Mohit Kumar, Vishali Sharma, Vikas Kumar, and Manvee Sharma, were also appreciated for their commendable performances and insightful perspectives.
The programme was smoothly conducted by Tehreem Shahid, while Arun Singh Thakur provided technical support, ensuring the successful execution of the event.
The event concluded with appreciation for all participants and organizers for making the programme engaging and meaningful.
