JU’s Bhaderwah Campus Organizes Annual Sports Meet

Bhaderwah, October 18: The Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu, organized a vibrant Sports Meet for students, teaching, and non-teaching staff, showcasing the spirit of teamwork, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation across multiple disciplines, fostering a healthy competitive spirit and camaraderie among all sections of the campus community.

The Department of Computer Science and IT emerged as the overall winner with an impressive total of 16 points, clinching the Overall Trophy for their outstanding performance. Rector Bhaderwah Campus, Prof. Rahul Gupta, distributed trophies and medals among the winners in different categories and lauded the participants for their energy and commitment. Event was witnessed by all the faculty members, Students and Non teaching staff

In his address, Prof. Rahul Gupta appreciated the efforts of the organizing team for successfully conducting the event and emphasized the importance of sports in holistic personality development. He said that sports not only promote physical fitness but also inculcate discipline, leadership, and team spirit among the youth, which are essential qualities for success in life.

Earlier, Dr. Kuljit Singh, Academic Coordinator and Incharge Sports, presented the formal welcome address, highlighting the objectives of the sports meet and expressing gratitude to the campus administration for their continuous encouragement and support in promoting extracurricular activities.

The prize distribution ceremony was conducted by Mr. Arif Haleem Khateeb, External Relations Officer, who also presented the formal vote of thanks, extending appreciation to all participants, faculty members, and volunteers for making the event a grand success.
