The Law School in collaboration with NSS CAMPUS Unit 3, University of Jammu organized symposium on topic “‘VIKSIT BHARAT @ 2047 with special reference to Sustainable Development Goals’ initiative with an aim to actively involve students and faculty members in shaping the vision of a developed India by 2047. Dr. Shubha Vats, Assistant professor, law school addressed the symposium its inaugural speech. She brought attention to the fact that we still have 25 years of Amritkaal ahead of us. To ensure that the goal of Viksit Bharat in 2047 becomes a reality, we must strive tirelessly towards this Amritkaal. 22 students in total took part in the symposium and discussed several facets of sustainability, including innovation, infrastructure development, and access to justice, environmental management, zero hunger, zero poverty, and transparent and responsible institutions.
Prof. (Dr.) Manju Jamwal, Director, The Law School, encouraged and inspired the students regarding their role in attaining the goals, turning India into a fully developed nation.
The discussion concluded with vote of thanks by Dr Monika Bhardwaj, PO, NSS Campus Unit 3,University of Jammu, who said that the provided a platform for insightful deliberations towards VIKSIT BHARAT. The event was attended by Dr. Seema Rohmetra, Dr. Monica Narang, Dr. Renu Jamwal, Dr. Upasana, Dr. Rajneesh , Dr. Vandita and Dr. Nitan Sharma.
