Career Guidance Programme Organised by  University of Jammu

Jammu, April 10: The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), University of Jammu, organised a Career Guidance Programme in collaboration with Ayaan Edu Skills & Training Pvt. Ltd. on the theme “Empowering Students to Turn Ambitions into Careers.” The programme aimed to guide students in making informed career choices, enhance their employability skills, and bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Pankaj K. Srivastava, in his inspiring address, urged students to remain proactive and continuously upgrade their skills. He encouraged them to explore interdisciplinary opportunities, develop a problem-solving mindset, and cultivate professionalism and ethical values. Emphasising the importance of perseverance and adaptability, he advised students to make informed decisions and stay focused on their long-term career goals.

Earlier, Prof. Sandeep Kour Tandon, Coordinator of the programme, welcomed the resource person and students and highlighted the significance of career guidance initiatives in shaping students’ futures.

The event witnessed active participation from  students, reflecting their keen interest in exploring diverse career opportunities and enhancing employability skills. The programme aimed to provide clarity on career choices and equip students with the necessary skills to succeed in a competitive professional environment.

Mr. Digvijay Sing, Operations Head, Ayaan Edu Skills & Training Pvt. Ltd., conducted insightful sessions focusing on career planning, industry expectations, skill development, and emerging job trends. He emphasised the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and practical exposure in shaping successful careers. The interactive nature of the sessions encouraged students to engage in meaningful discussions and seek guidance on various career pathways, including corporate sectors, entrepreneurship, and skill-based professions.

The organisers reiterated that such initiatives are regularly undertaken by CDOE to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, thereby fostering holistic development among students.

The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Avantika Bakshi, Assistant Professor, CDOE, who expressed gratitude to the collaborating organisation, speakers, and participants for their valuable contributions.
