Department of Computer Science & IT, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu organized eleventh Hands-on Training on Information Technology for the students of Government High School, Dewal, Billawar, Kathua. More than 30 students along with faculty members visited the Campus and hands-on training on Information Technology was imparted to them.

45447During the visit, the students interacted with faculty members and explored the entire campus, including state-of-the-art laboratories, workshops, and other facilities. The visit was designed to offer the students an opportunity to understand the practical aspects of education and its application in real-world scenarios. The students were highly enthusiastic throughout the visit and actively engaged in discussions with the faculty and students of the Kathua Campus.

Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Rector, Kathua Campus in his message highlighted the significance of such visits in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. He emphasized the importance of introducing students to modern technologies and fostering an environment that nurtures innovation and learning. He also added that such initiatives underscore the commitment of Kathua Campus to contribute to the academic and professional growth of young learners by providing them with opportunities for experiential learning and industry exposure. He stressed that the students should seize every opportunity provided by these visits to broaden their knowledge and explore new avenues for their future.

Dr. Sourabh Shastri, I/c Head, Computer Science warmly welcomed the students and delivered an engaging lecture on computer science topics. He emphasized the importance of technology in shaping the future and encouraged the students to cultivate a keen interest in technological advancements. He urged the students to revisit Kathua Campus to deepen their understanding of modern technologies and leverage the learning environment offered by the institution.
