The Community Radio Station of the University of Jammu, 91.2 FM Dhwani JU, began the second round of two-week Summer Internship Program for the students of GGM Science College, Cluster University of Jammu, GCW Bhagwati Nagar, GDC Nagrota and Dogra Degree College, Bari Brahamana, Jammu. This internship program is thoughtfully designed to provide students with the best possible start in their careers.
A successful Interactive Session with renowned Radio Jockey, Sarang, from 91.9 RED FM, marked the beginning of the Internship program. The session was designed to provide the interns a rare opportunity to gain firsthand insights from an industry expert, learn about the nuances of live broadcasting, and understand the art of engaging with a diverse audience.
RJ Sarang, a luminous Alumnus of the University of Jammu shared his extensive experience in the field, covering topics such as content creation, audience interaction, and the technical aspects of radio broadcasting. The Participants engaged in practical exercises designed to simulate real-world broadcasting scenarios, enhancing their understanding and skills. This was followed by a practical session by Prof. Monika Chadha, Convenor, 91.2 FM Dhwani JU, who introduced the Interns to the concept and working of the Community Radio Station.
The other Resource Persons for the day included Mr Sumeet Sharma, Drama Instructor, DSW, University of Jammu, Mr Tushar Bhardwaj, Programming Assistant 91.2 FM Dhwani JU and Mr. Krishan, a senior theatre trainer from Chandigarh.
The Community Radio Station of Jammu University, under the dynamic leadership of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof Umesh Rai, is committed to providing a platform for students and interns to connect with peers and industry professionals, thereby equipping them with valuable knowledge to further their careers in Broadcasting and Media industry.
