The Students of the Department of Sericulture, Poonch Campus leaves for an enriching educational tour to South India, starting from December 18th and concluding on December 31, 2023. The tour aims to provide students with a unique opportunity to enhance their knowledge and practical understanding of Sericulture in different regions.
Prof. Rakesh Vaid, the Director of Poonch Campus, conveyed his best wishes to the students and faculty members undertaking this educational journey. In a message, Prof. Rakesh Vaid expressed his confidence that the tour would be a valuable experience for all participants, offering them insights into the diverse aspects of Sericulture prevalent in South India.
Campus Officer Dr. Rubia Bukhari also extended her best wishes, expressing hope that the students would greatly benefit from the educational tour. Dr. Bukhari emphasized the importance of experiential learning and practical exposure in shaping the academic and professional growth of the students.
Accompanying the students on this educational expeditions are faculty members from the Department of Sericulture Dr. Jyoty Angotra and Miss Kalpna Sudan. The educational tour itinerary includes visits to prominent Sericulture Research Institutes and Centers, Silk reeling factories, Silk Markets and interactions with industry experts in South India.
