Reasi Campus, University of Jammu, has organized an awareness programme on “Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Start-up" in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Reasi, on 11.08.2023. The event was aimed to raise awareness about the importance of entrepreneurship development and fostering a deeper connection with innovation and start-up among the students and faculty members of the campus.
Sh. Abilash Kumar Braroo, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI, Reasi, was the resource person of the event who discussed the various aspects including significance of innovative entrepreneurship among the young minds who aspire to become innovative entrepreneurs. He explained through a power point presentation about the capability of creating and bringing innovative products to the market. He emphasized how innovative entrepreneurship can help professionals to develop ideas to successfully manage business. He also detailed about the concepts and innovative factors of entrepreneurship like ability to take risks, innovation, visionary and leadership qualities, open mindedness, flexibility, know their products etc. Further, he pointed out various types of entrepreneurs and mentioned that the best one’s are the social entrepreneurs because they easily detect the social problems and develop strategic plans to resolve them as well as bringing people together and motivating them to work for the same cause. During interactions with the students, he discussed various innovative strategies and outcomes by citing the Government of India’s motive like ‘Vocal for Local and Local for global’.
Prof. Sushil K. Pandey, Director, Reasi Campus, has welcomed and admired the resource person for engrossing everyone in terms of exploring and significance of entrepreneurship and innovations. He has also apprised the participants regarding the motive behind the conduct of such awareness programme and also motivated them to be a “job creator” and not just “job seeker” for sustainable growth of the society as well as nation. Further, he applaud the JKEDI, Reasi, for promoting entrepreneurship and start-ups and added that their efforts shall definitely ensure an unprecedented wave of long desired growth, prosperity and well being as the spirit of new India.
