Five Days Art Workshop Concludes at IMFA, JU

The five-day "National Art Workshop" organised by the Institute of Music and Fine Arts (IMFA) Jammu today concluded by organising a valedictory function. The young painters from Jamia Milia Islamia New Delhi, Delhi Art College, Kurukshetra University, Kashmir University & IMFA participated in the five-day-long Painting Worksop and they prepare different paintings on different themes. Painters tried their best to give a message of National Integration, Mutual Understanding & Love. They also made paintings on different social evils prevailing in society.

Padam Shri. S.K. Verma who was the Chief Guest on the occasion distributed certificates among the participants. In his speech, he appeals that Communal Harmony & Brotherhood should be maintained in every sphere of life. He said that Art always had given the message of love. Artists should have some goal for which they should work hard to achieve that goal. Gandhian philosophy should be spread through different paintings.

Prof.Shohab Inayat Malik, Principal IMFA highlighted the importance of Art & Culture in the day-to-day life of human beings. He informed that Literally & Culturally India is a rich country. Its old age culture needed to be preserved and IMFA will try to give a positive message to society.

Dr. Milan Sharma coordinated the whole event. The valedictory function was attended by Dr.Priya Dutta,  Rakesh Sharma, Suraj Singh, Bhadur Singh, Bindu Sharma, Dr.Anjul Mittal, Ankush Kesar & Bushan Kesar, the renowned Painter was the guest of honour on the occasion.

Earlier, Dr.Lalit Gupta interacted with the participants of the Workshop. He laid stress on projecting the realities of life through their Art. The participants asked various questions to Dr.Lalit Gupta regarding the Art & Techniques of painting to which he replied in a befitting manner.
