The Jammu University Internal Complaints Committee against Sexual harassment (JUICCASH) organized an awareness and sensitization session on 'Prevention of sexual harassment at workplace' at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu. The session was conducted with an aim to aware and sensitize students from various academic departments of the University regarding the issue. Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar presided over the session as Chief Guest. Prof. Jasrotia in his expert remarks emphasized how behaviour of parties can be used as a piece of apt evidence in complaints proceedings. Prof. Alka Sharma, presiding officer, JUICCASH in her introductory address briefed the participants about the internal complaints committee and its mandate. In her keynote address,  Adv. Meenu Padha, through a PowerPoint Presentation, apprised the student-participants regarding the background of the PoSH legislation. She further highlighted Jammu University’s policy against sexual harassment was also specifically highlighted. The procedure of filing complaints and provisions related to further proceedings were also covered in the presentation. Later, in the questions and answers session, questions were also taken from the audience. The vote of thanks was conducted by Dr. Monica Narang, Member, JUICCASH.
