The Dhanvantri Library, University of Jammu successfully completed the LibSys-10 Modules Training Program, which was organized to enhance the technical and operational skills of Library Professionals. The program culminated in a Certificate Distribution Ceremony held today.
The Ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Rahul Gupta, Registrar, University of Jammu, who distributed certificates to the participants. The I/C Librarian while, speaking on the occasion, highlighted the significance of the training program. He added that the LibSys-10 Modules Training Program, is a comprehensive initiative aimed at empowering participants with advanced knowledge of the LibSys Software, covering various aspects of Library Management, including cataloging, circulation, acquisition and the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). This program is part of the Dhanvantri Library's ongoing efforts to stay at the forefront of Library Automation and digitalisation, ensuring efficient management and access to resources. The Registrar, University of Jammu while addressing the gathering, acknowledged the efforts of the I/C Librarian and the Library Staff and emphasised the importance of continuous learning and professional development.
During, the event 46 participants, including 10 Officers and 36 Library Professionals, were awarded certificates by the Chief Guest. Additionally, three Appreciation Certificates were distributed to recognise the remarkable performance of Library Professionals in the Jammu University Employees Tournament.
On the occasion, the Chief Guest also lauded the organising Committee (i.e. Academic Activities Committee) led by Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Deputy Librarian for their dedication and effort in making this program a success.
