ICccR and HRM, JU organizes Industrial Visit to UFlex Limited (SIDCO)

ICccR and HRM, University of Jammu, organized an Industrial Visit to Uflex Limited SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana on 29th, January, 2024 (Monday). The visit was organized for the students of MBA (IB) Semester 1st and 3rd, as part of their course curriculum, with the objective to provide students an insight regarding internal working of industry and practical learning in a real-working environment.

Mr. Soumitra Barari, Executive Vice President - Operations, UFlex Limited, and his team of experts including Ms. Indu Bhardwaj, Assistant Manager (HR); Mr. Vikramdeep Singh Charak, Sr. Manager (HR) and Mr. Sukhdev Singh, Sr.Manager (Security), interacted with the students, briefing them with the floor level operations of the packaging industry, market operations and retail sector, as well.

The students got an opportunity to experience the know-how of the factory operations, interact with the engineers and technical staff and learn about various functional areas of management like manufacturing, quality control, supply chain, logistics and other major operations of the company, specifically pertaining to packaging and labeling of fmcg products in India.

Prof. Hardeep Chahal, Director, ICccR and HRM, University of Jammu thanked Mr. Soumitra Barari, Executive Vice President - Operations, UFlex Limited, and his team for hosting and providing our students this opportunity that will connect our management students with industrial learning and better management of resources.

Dr. Shivani Rana and Dr. Parul Mahajan, Faculty at ICccR and HRM, accompanied the students, and coordinated the visit, along with all faculty members.
