Kathua Campus, University of Jammu celebrated the 75th Republic Day of India with great patriotic fervor. The celebrations begin with a flag-unfurling ceremony by the Rector Kathua Campus Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, followed by the interaction with the civil society.
Prof. Jasrotia payed tributes to the freedom fighters and soldiers and said that it is because of their sacrifices and struggle that the people of this nation are living as free citizens.
Prof. Arvind Jasrotia also delved on the importance of the Republic Day and the role of the Constitution in shaping India's democracy.
Among others Dr. Vivek Sharma, Academic Coordinator, Dr Sourabh Shastri, I/c MCA/UIET, Dr Pankaj Khajuria Assistant Registrar, Dr Narinder Sharma Junior Scientist, Jammu University were present. A galaxy of Members from the civil society local residents, Academic and Administration staff of Kathua Campus, students and NCC cadets were also present on the occasion. The whole programme was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Amit Sharma.
