The Kishtwar Campus, University of Jammu, commemorated the 75th Republic Day of India with immense enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event commenced with Prof. Jasbir Singh, Director of Kishtwar Campus, unfurling the National Flag, accompanied by the rendition of the National Anthem by campus students. This year's Republic Day theme, 'Viksit Bharat' and 'Bharat: Loktantra ki Matruka,' signifies India's aspirations and its pivotal role as a nurturer of democracy.
Prof. Jasbir Singh extended greetings to the Campus fraternity and students, expressing pride in India's achievements across various fields. He emphasized the collective responsibility of Indian citizens to lead and contribute to making India a global leader. Prof. Singh recited the Preamble of the Constitution of India to instill an understanding of its spirit among children and youth. He paid homage to the visionaries who crafted the world's longest written constitution, including Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
During the ceremony, students presented patriotic songs, and faculty and students recited poems. The event was attended by Prof. Jasbir Singh, Dr. Aftab Ahmad Mir, I/C Head of the Deptt. IT, Dr. Meer Tufail Mohammad, I/C Head of the Deptt. Kashmiri, Mr. Amir Ayoub Bhat, Sadam Hussain Khan, Mr. Sameet Kumar, Ms. Rizwana Kouser, Ruchi Sharma, Mrs. Sonama Sharma, Mubasir Hussain, and other non-teaching staff.
