University of Jammu collaborates with American Oncology Institute for a health talk on common Carcinoma affecting young females on 2nd Dec.2023
Under the guidance of Prof Rahul Gupta, Registrar, University of Jammu and Prof Shashi Manhas, Provost of Girl Hostels, the Health Centre, University of Jammu in Collaboration with American Oncology Institute and Microbiologist Society of India, organised a Health Talk focussed on the most Common Carcinomas affecting Young Female
Dr. Surbhi Kudyar, (Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon) from the American Oncology Institute was the spokesperson in the camp. She emphasized the significance of early detection, prevention, and treatment of prevalent cancers among females.
Mr. Ashutosh Gupta, Mr. Tanushree Khajuria, Ms. Nazia, and Ms. Sapna Kotwal from the American Oncology Institute provided holistic support during the camp. Dr Madhulika Bhagat, Associate Professor JU and also a representative of the Microbiologist Society of India, actively participated in the event.
Dr Chinmoyee Maharana, Warden of Sarojini Naidu Girls Hostel, Dr Pallvi Sachdeva. Warden Priyadarshini, Dr Samriti, Dr Radhika, Ms Anjali r/Wardens of Girl Hostels along with other female staff attended the Health Talk wherein over 200 females participated.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Chief Medical Officer at the Health Centre, University of Jammu, extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Surbhi Kudyar and her dedicated team, as well as the entire staff of the Girl Hostel specifically Dr Chinmoyee Maharana for well-planned execution of the Health Talk. Dr. Bhushan also affirms a commitment to organize similar awareness camps for the girl hostels in the future.
