Lecture Cum Interactive Session on Sexual Harassment Of Women At Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition And Redressal ) Act, 2013 Organized By The Law School, JU

To ensure a safe, secure and gender neutral environment, The Law School, University of Jammu organized an interactive session on ‘Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace’ on November 30th, 2023. The chief guest/key speaker of the function was Mrs. Neeta Verma Advocate Supreme Court of India. Programme began with welcome address by Prof. Manju Jamwal, Director The Law School who emphasised on the sincere implementation of POSH Act. It was followed by the address of key speaker Ms. Neeta Verma who discussed different provisions of POSH Act highlighting the circumstances that led to the enactment of the Act and emphasised on the need of conciliation while handling the cases of Sexual Harassment. This was followed by an interactive session with the students who raised many quarries on the subject. The session was conducted by Dr Vandita Sharma. A vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Monica Narang, Associate Professor.
