DLL organises career counselling programme at GHSS Bazar Qasaban

Employment Information Cum Advisory Bureau (EIAB), Department of Lifelong Learning (DLL) today organised a career counselling programme for the students of class 12th in the premises of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Bazar Qasaban, Jammu.

The programme was held under the guidance of Dr. Jeevan Jyoti, Director, DLL. Dr. Sandeep Arya, Sr. Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics, JU, was the resource person. Dr. Rewa Khajuria, counsellor, EIAB, DLL, coordinated the programme. Dr. Sandeep Arya informed the students about the career prospects and further study options after completing schooling in the science stream. Dr. Rewa Khajuria apprised the students about the importance of career counselling and the usefulness of psychometric tests.

About 39 students at the school, while giving feedback, appreciated the programme. They were very interested in knowing the options available for them as board exams are approaching and they are in dire need of such programmes. The principal of the school, Mrs. Kamlesh Bhagat, spoke about the guidance that is being provided to the students at this time and advised them to work hard. The coordinator and teachers of the school also attended the programme.
