Directorate of Distance & Online Education (DD&OE), University of Jammu today organized a guest lecture on the topic "‘ Career opportunities and Role of Industrialisation’ as part of the PCP for M.com students.
The lecture was delivered by Mr. Arshad Noomani, JKAS, Functional Manager, DIC, Jammu, and presided over by Prof. Pankaj Srivastava, Director (DD&OE) The event was convened by Prof. Sandeep Tandon, Coordinator, M.Com. (DD&OE).
Prof. Sandeep Kour Tandon gave the welcome address in which she introduced the dignitaries and apprised the students of the need for career counseling and its avenues.
Mr. Noomani , interacted with the students about their future career aspirations, and goals. He also spoke about the role, and importance of a focused approach and self-motivation for comprehensive development of students. Additionally, he discussed the several initiatives being undertaken by the DIC, and government to promote industrialization and entrepreneurship in the UT.
In his presiding remarks, Prof. Pankaj Srivastava, emphasized that such programmes offer unique perspectives in societal growth, and motivate students to broaden their horizons.
The programme was attended by the faculty, officers, including Dr. Saran Preet Broca (Deputy registrar, DD&OE) and students of the Directorate. The programme culminated with the felicitation of the resource person. Formal vote of thanks was presented by the Teacher-Incharge, Ms. Avantika Bakshi along with Ms. Shriya Gupta from the Directorate.
