Dhananter Singh Kotwal, Chairman District Development Council Doda, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the conference in the presence of eminent dignitaries including Prof. Rahul Gupta, Rector Bhaderwah Campus, Prof. Sheila Rai, Secretary RSVP, Co 4 RR, Dr. Nagendra Rao, and Dr. Kuljit Singh.
Sh. Dhananter Singh Kotwal, Chairman District Development Council Doda, expressed his appreciation for the initiative and spoke on the occasion, highlighting the importance of such academic discussions in fostering peace in the region.
Prof. Rahul Gupta, Rector Bhaderwah Campus, delivered a formal welcome, expressing his delight at the esteemed gathering and emphasizing the institution's commitment to academic excellence and addressing regional challenges. He also emphasizing the role of the armed forces in maintaining peace and stability in the region.
He said “The conference serves as a platform for diverse perspectives, enabling scholars and practitioners to engage in enriching dialogues on the critical role of social sciences in managing perception and nurturing peace,” he further added added that With a focus on the unique challenges and opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir, the conference aims to provide deeper insights into the socio-cultural and political dynamics of the region.

Prof. Sheila Rai, Secretary RSVP, spoke about RSVP's role in promoting peace and shared her views on the perception of peace in Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting the importance of the conference in this context.
Dr. Kuljit Singh, Convenor of the conference in his address, provided an overview of the conference's objectives and the significance of addressing issues related to perception management and peace in the region. “The National Conference aims to bring together scholars, researchers, and experts from diverse backgrounds within the social sciences to explore the pivotal role these disciplines play in promoting peace, understanding, and harmony in the region of Jammu and Kashmir
