Aligning with the ‘Aims’ of the National Cadet Corps that are laid to meet the requirements of current socio–economic scenario of the country, the NCC-Girls Wing, University of Jammu, organized its maiden Orientation Cum Drill Exercise for the NCC Girls Cadets, University of Jammu. The basic objective of conducting such like exercise was to inculcate amongst the young citizens of the region, specifically from the University of Jammu the essence of character, comradeship, discipline, secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service.
The trainer for the session was Mr. HK Yadav from Indian Armed Forces, that provided orientation and drill training to the cadets regarding the importance of NCC and its connect with the creation of conscious human resources that are trained in all facets of life and shall act as enablers to provide leadership to others under the motto of Service to the Nation. Further, such like exercise act as a reminder to the youth for serving the nation regardless of which career they choose with a strong sense of patriotic commitment to contribute to national development.
The orientation-cum-training session was coordinated by Dr. Isha Sharma, Associate NCC Officer of NCC Wing, University of Jammu under the guidance of 2 J&K, Girls Battalion.
