• Dr. Nisha Kapoor:

• Awarded Innovative Research activity award, UGC, New Delhi (2016, 2018).
• Awarded 2021 M.N.S. Swamy Best Paper Award from Springer Nature Group, 2022
• Awarded the 2021 Sydney R. Parker Best Paper Award from Springer Nature Group

Dr.  Roopali Fotra:

• Delivered an Invited Lecture on “Behavioral Genetics- Predicting, Detecting and Treating the hereditary genetic disease” in Department of Home Science , University of Jammu, J&K, India  in April 2017.
• Delivered an Invited Lecture on “THE INTRODUCTION TO BASICS OF HUMAN CYTOGENETICS AND HUMAN GENETIC DISRORDERS” in Sept, 2017.
• Received prize for best oral paper presentation in 12^th JK Science Congress, organized by University of Jammu, March, 2017.

Dr. Jyotdeep Kour Raina:

• First prize for paper presentation in International Conference on “Current Trends and Genetics in Heart Failure and Cardiac Arrhythmias” organized by PGIMER, Chandigarh from 31 January, 2015 to 01 Feb. 2015.

ACHIEVEMENTS OF STUDENTS/ SCHOLARS

• Ms. Priyanka, M.Sc. student of Human Genetics was awarded Ist prize in one day Science Exhibition on "Awareness of Genetic Disorders" organized by Department of Zoology, University of Jammu on 25th August, 2022.
• Ms. Kanak Mahajan, Ph.D. Scholar of IHG, qualified the CSIR-UGC JRF examination, declared in March, 2022, securing AIR rank 118.
• Many students have secured admission to Ph. D programs in prestigious institutions of the country namely Manipal Life Sciences Centre, Manipal University, Karnataka; Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, (IIIM) CSIR, Jammu; Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi; AIIMS, New Delhi; GNDU, Amritsar, Punjab; SMVDU, Katra, Jammu.
• Besides many passed out students of Institute of Human Genetics have ben pursuing doctorate from International Institutes of the countries like Australia and USA.
• Ms. Kanak Mahajan, Ph.D. Scholar of IHG got best poster paper presentation in two days seminar on “Sustainable living: an environmental challenge under the aegis of the internal quality assurance cell” organized by Govt. College for Women, Parade, Jammu, from 19^th-20^th Feb., 2020.
