JU to Organise Training Cum Workshop on GeM/GFR rules

A Training cum Workshop on GeM/GFR rules, e-Tendering/bidding is being organized by the Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance in collaboration with the Centre for IT Enabled Services, University of Jammu. The GeM/GRF rules provide a framework within which an organization should manage its transactions in a financially prudent manner and therefore, the University is endeavouring to sensitize its Heads of various Departments, Rectors, Directors, officers and staff to make procurement in accordance with the financial system and rules in place. E-procurement increases transparency, simplifies and speeds up the tendering process and therefore helps to eliminate human error. E-Procurement also plays a critical role in allowing to follow Digital Procurement Processes. It is a robust financial system which requires every institution to undergo procurements and undertake works as per the established financial norms. The training cum workshop shall be designed in such a way that it will equip and provide insights about institutional purchases, policies & practices to the University officials vis-a-viz various aspects of GeM/GFR rules/e-procurement etc. besides practical demonstrations and evaluation of the training at the end of the said programme.
