The one-week long workshop on “Research Methodology” was today inaugurated by Prof. Naresh Padha, Dean Academic Affairs, University of Jammu. The workshop is being organized by the Human Resource development center (HRDC) in collaboration with P.G. Department of Urdu, University of Jammu. Near about 50 Ph. D scholars from various Department of university, Assistant Professor of University and College teachers are participating in the said workshop.

In his inaugural address, Prof. Naresh Padha discusses the various techniques of Research Methodology. He said that Research is a very important component of Academics and the university has set up a Research cluster where funds have been made available for doing research in different fields. Research should be Job oriented  and it should be connected with society also, so that society can benefitted by research which is being done in various fields in the university . Prof. Padha further said that University of Jammu had produced towering researchers which had got name and fame not only in India but also abroad. The workshop will definitely be a successful one as different scholars of the country will deliver lectures.

Prof. S.K. Pandita, Director, Human Resource development center (HRDC) while speaking on the occasion informed that Human Resource development center (HRDC) is organizing 1st workshop on offline mode in collaboration with department of urdu after covid pandemic. He discussed the aims and objectives of organizing such workshops and informed that these types of activities will definitely help new researchers to grow up.

The coordinator of the workshop Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik discussed the meaning, types and need for doing Research. He thanked the Human Resource development center (HRDC) for choosing the Department of Urdu for organizing this prestigious workshop.

Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmad, Head department of Urdu also spoke on the occasion. The proceeding of the inaugural function was conducted by Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik, Course Coordinator while vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Ranjeet Kalra, Teaching Faculty, Human Resource development center (HRDC) .
