The Law School, JU fosters practical learning with Court Visit

The Law School, University of Jammu organized a court visit for its 6th-semester students  with an aim to supplement theoretical knowledge with real-world insights.This experiential endeavor aimed at prioritising practical experience and fostering a deeper understanding of the legal landscape.

Students engaged in an immersive observation of civil and criminal proceedings, witnessing first-hand the dynamics of courtroom interactions, judicial decision-making, and legal advocacy. They also interacted with practicing lawyers, gaining practical tips and invaluable advice on navigating the legal profession.

239415A memorable highlight was an interactive session with Hon’ble District Judge Haqnawaz Zargar, Anti-Corruption Court, Jammu, who emphasized the significance of hard work, punctuality, honesty, and consistency in achieving success in the legal field. This mentorship opportunity inspired students to adopt these values in their future careers.

Furthermore, students attended High Court proceedings, specifically in the courts presided over by Justice Sanjeev Kumar and Justice Sindhu Sharma, providing a unique opportunity to observe experienced judges in action.

The visit was meticulously coordinated by Dr. Rajneesh Khajuria, Dr. Pallvi Mathavan Puri, Dr. Mool Raj, and Dr. Nitan Sharma, Faculty members, The Law School.
