“One - Week Induction and Personality development Programme” for the students of MBA (IB) starts at International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu.
The intent of programme is to introduce the students the academic, social, and professional aspects of pursuing an MBA (IB) programme at ICccR & HRM and to the ethos of our institution, its values, and the rich learning experiences that await them.
The primary objective of the programme at ICccR & HRM is to provide a comprehensive orientation to students, ensuring a deep understanding of the institution's vision, mission, and values. It offers a holistic overview of the MBA (IB) curriculum, specialization options, academic policies, and extracurricular opportunities thereby enabling the students to align themselves with University of Jammu ethos and chart their academic path effectively. Further, the induction and personality development programme focuses recognizing the importance of holistic development of the students by nurturing personal and professional growth with workshops on self-awareness, personality profiling, goal-setting, ice breaking sessions, stress management, career planning, and resume building. By fostering self-reflection, enabling students to set meaningful goals, and equipping them with the requisite career planning tools, the programme ensures that students are well-prepared to make apt decisions and excel in their chosen career paths in industry.
Prof. Alka Sharma, Dean Business Studies, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest in the inaugural function of the Induction and Personality Development Programme. In her address, the DBS briefed the students about the importance of management and inculcating it as a way of life. She emphasized the need for incorporating IT skills, communication skills, data analytical skills, problem solving and critical thinking for holistic development of the students.
Professor Hardeep Chahal, Director, ICccR & HRM, University of Jammu during her remarks, highlighted the significance of international business management in today’s globalised economy. She expressed satisfaction for the conduct of Induction Programme with speakers and resource person from different specializations and expertise, thereby making programme an inclusive platform for students to develop their competencies and envision the future ahead.
Dr. S. K. Goel, Founder and Director Personality Gurukul; Miss Oshin Goel, Director , Vibrant Dots; Prof. B.K. Bajaj, Dean Student Placement, University of Jammu; Prof. Savita Nayyar, Director, Centre for Women Studied and Professor, Department of Law, University of Jammu and were the Resource Persons for the programme.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Isha Sharma, Dr. Swati Sharma and Dr. Shivani Rana. The event was co-coordinated by Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Dr. Neha Gupta and Dr. Parul Mahajan. The programme was attended by students from MBA (IB) Semester I, Semester III and Research Scholars of the department.
