A group of National Cadet Corps (NCC) Girls Wing of the University of Jammu called on Vice Chancellor Prof Umesh Rai and shared their experiences of the 12-day Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Camp held in Delhi.
The cadets apprised the Vice Chancellor about the pivotal role of such camps in shaping their perspectives towards life, instilling values of discipline, leadership, and camaraderie. While sharing their experiences, the cadets highlighted the significance of the NCC programme in fostering holistic development among them,
The Cadets also elaborated on the diverse array of camps they attended, ranging from leadership training to community service initiatives besides competitions in various activities like art and culture, sports, line area and flag area. They dwelled in detail how these experiences not only enhanced their physical fitness but also honed their problem-solving skills and teamwork.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Rai expressed immense pride in the accomplishments of the NCC cadets and commended their dedication to personal growth and community service.
“The University remains committed to supporting such initiatives that contribute to the overall development of students'', the Vice Chancellor said, hoping that the cadets will continue to bring laurels for the University by excelling in various disciplines and activities of the NCC curriculum by dint of determination and sense of commitment.
