Udhampur Campus, University of Jammu Organized an Induction Program
A One-Day Induction program at Udhampur Campus, Garnai Lotta, successfully achieved its goals of orienting students to the University environment. The university's induction program stands as a pivotal gateway for new students, symbolizing the commencement of their academic journey.This induction program, served as a crucial introduction for incoming students.
The Induction Program started with the lightening of the lamp by honorable Rector Prof Yash Pal Sharma and faculty members, followed by formal introduction and presentation by Ms. Taruna Dubey. It included sessions on academic expectations, programs offered by the campus, campus facilities which included :- hostel facility, transportation facility, air conditioned library and computer labs, canteen, wi-Fi facilities and extracurricular opportunities.
The presentation also displayed the achievements of highly qualified faculty members along with their qualifications. It also gave in-depth details of non teaching staff and workers engaged in the institution. Later on Dr. Shilpa Gupta gave insight about the campus and welcomed esteemed Rector, Prof Yash Pal Sharma, all the faculty members and students. This holistic approach not only imparted essential information about academic expectations and resources but also cultivated a sense of belonging among the students.
The University's commitment to a well-rounded induction experience is evident in the strategic collaboration between faculty, staff, and dedicated student volunteers, ensuring a seamless and enriching transition for each new member of the academic community.Valuable insights from both students and facilitators contributed to a comprehensive understanding of the program's effectiveness.
