For the acclimatization of the plants of extreme climates, department of botany is having an automated green house fully equipped with air conditioned system, water sprinklers and heating devices.

Herbarium and Museum

For reference purpose department of botany is having the herbarium facility where the more than 17000 specimen of plants (angiosperms, gymnosperms, pteridophytes, bryophytes, macrofungi and algae) are preserved, either in dry form on herbarium sheets or in preservative jars. In addition, seed samples and other plant originated artefacts are also preserved in the museum. PLANT IDENTIFICATION AND HERBARIUM CONSULTATION facility is on payment basis.
