JU Kathua Campus Organises Guest Lecture on “From Campus to Corporate: Management Skills & Future Opportunities”

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 15: The Management School, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, organised a guest lecture on “From Campus to Corporate: Management Skills & Future Opportunities” for the students of the Management School.
The session was graced by Mr. Abhimanyu Singh Jasrotia, Corporate Expert, and Mr. Rahul Padha, Regional Manager, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd., who served as resource persons.
Mr. Abhimanyu Singh Jasrotia, an accomplished corporate professional, shared his rich industry experience, managerial expertise and practical insights with the students. Drawing from his extensive professional journey in the pharmaceutical sector and experience of working with leading organisations and managing diverse regional markets, he highlighted the essential professional competencies required to succeed in the corporate world.
He encouraged the students to look beyond academic qualifications, strengthen their practical competence and prepare themselves confidently for the evolving demands of the professional world.
Addressing the students, Mr. Rahul Padha emphasised that academic excellence should be complemented by practical competence and professional confidence. He encouraged the students to identify and consistently work on their areas of weakness while strengthening their communication, decision-making, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
He also highlighted the importance of adaptability, resilience and continuous learning in effectively responding to professional challenges and opportunities. He urged the students to equip themselves with the skills and competencies required for sustained professional growth and career success.
The interactive session provided students with valuable practical perspectives on transitioning from campus to corporate life and preparing for future career opportunities.
In his message, Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Rector, Kathua Campus, congratulated The Management School, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, for organising the guest lecture. He emphasised the importance of bridging academic learning with industry requirements and appreciated the initiative for providing students with practical exposure. He also assured that such academic and industry-oriented events would continue to be organised regularly for the holistic development of students and to prepare them for future challenges and opportunities.
Dr. Rajani Kumari Sarangal, Convenor and In-charge Head, The Management School, Kathua Campus, highlighted the significance of industry-academia interaction in enhancing students’ practical exposure. She stated that such guest lectures provide students with valuable insights into corporate expectations, career opportunities and professional development.
The session was anchored by Ms. Princee Verma, Assistant Professor, The Management School, University of Jammu. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Rajani Kumari Sarangal.
The event was coordinated by faculty members, including Dr. Ritu Sharma, Dr. Surekha Pakhwarya and Dr. Bonia Sharma. Students from the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programmes were also present during the session.
