The Business School, University of Jammu Organizes Industrial Visit to Advantec Wheels Pvt. Ltd.

The Business School, University of Jammu under the leadership of Director TBS, Prof. Amisha Gupta, organized an informative industrial visit to Advantec Wheels Pvt. Ltd. for the students of MBA Semester IV. The visit was arranged with the objective of giving students practical exposure to the process and functioning of manufacturing industry and to connect classroom learning with real industrial practices.

During the visit, the students were taken on a guided tour of the manufacturing facilities of Advantec Wheels Pvt. Ltd., located at SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana which is among the prominent alloy wheel manufacturers in the region. They observed different stages of the production process, beginning from raw material processing to the final finishing of alloy wheels. The managementof the unit shared valuable insights about the functioning of the alloy wheel industry, highlighting technological developments, global market trends, and sustainable manufacturing practices.

The visit also provided an opportunity for students to interact with the employees of the unit. Through these discussions, students gained a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by the industry at both national and international levels. This experience helped students to enhance their practical knowledge in areas such as Project management, Supply chain management, Global business operations etc.

Earlier, Prof. Amisha Gupta, Director, TBS, formally flagged-off the students from University of Jammu. In her address, she appreciated the initiative and thankedthe Director,Advantec Wheels Pvt., Sh. Annil Suri and Mr. Bhaskar Suriwith the message, for facilitating such a meaningful learning experience for the students. She emphasized that industrial visits are an important part of the MBA curriculum as they provide students with valuable exposure to real-world industrial environments.

The industrial visit was coordinated by Dr. Saloni Devi and Dr. Shelleka Gupta, faculty members of The Business School, University of Jammu.
