Two-Day Workshop on GST Commences at Department of Commerce
The Department of Commerce, in collaboration with Ayaan Edu Skills and Training Pvt. Ltd.,
inaugurated a Two-Day Simulation based Workshop on Goods and Services Tax (GST) today at Seminar Hall, Department of
Commerce, on 6th November 2025. The workshop aims to provide participants with a
comprehensive understanding of GST concepts, legal framework, and practical compliance
procedures relevant to the contemporary taxation landscape in India. The objective of the
workshop is to bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and real-time application of GST
provisions. The programme is particularly beneficial for students, academicians, and budding
entrepreneurs, enabling them to gain hands-on experience in GST filing and compliance
mechanisms. The inaugural session was attended by Prof. Jeevan Jyoti, HoD, Commerce, Mr.
Rajesh Kumar, Chairman, Ayaan Edu Skill and Training Pvt. Ltd. and Dr. Sunil Kumar, workshop
coordinator and other faculty members. Over the two days, participants will engage in interactive
learning sessions on overview of GST Law, Registration Process, Input Tax Credit Mechanism,
Supply of Goods and Services, and Legal Framework of GST, Practical Demonstrations on
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B Return Filing, E-way Bill Generation, Case-Based Problem Solving, and
Compliance Strategies for Businesses. Ms. Divya Rani, is the expert trainer from Ayaan Edu Skills
and Training Pvt. Ltd. She lead the sessions, ensuring practical exposure through live portal
demonstrations and case study discussions. Around 50 participants are attending the workshop,
reflecting its academic relevance. The Department expressed sincere appreciation to the faculty
members, administrative staff, and student volunteers whose dedicated efforts contributed to the
successful commencement of the workshop. The collaboration with Ayaan Edu Skills and Training
Pvt. Ltd. was acknowledged for strengthening skill-based learning initiatives.
