University of Jammu celebrates Dev Deepawali 

The Department of Commerce, University of Jammu celebrated the auspicious occasion of Dev Deepawali with great enthusiasm and devotion in the department premises. The event began with a vibrant Rangoli competition, where students showcased their creativity and festive spirit through beautiful and colorful designs symbolizing light, positivity, and togetherness.

Following the competition, the faculty members graciously added diyas around the rangoli, spreading divine light and enhancing the festive ambiance. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and joy as the glow of the diyas illuminated the surroundings.

Student representative Diya delivered a thoughtful and enlightening speech on the significance of Dev Deepawali, highlighting its spiritual importance as the “Festival of Lights of the Gods” and its message of spreading goodness and harmony.

The celebration concluded with words of encouragement and blessings from  all the teachers of the Department, Prof. Jeevan Jyoti (HOD) , who appreciated the collective efforts of students and faculty in organizing the event and emphasized the value of cultural celebrations in strengthening unity and positive energy within the department.The event beautifully combined devotion, art, and academic harmony, making it a memorable celebration for all.
