UIET, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, observes Vigilance Awareness Week pledge.

To mark the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week and to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Shri Vallabhbhai Patel , the faculty and students of UIET organized a series of meaningful events aimed at promoting integrity, patriotism, and collective responsibility.

The program commenced with a pledge-taking ceremony, where both faculty members and students solemnly vowed to uphold transparency, honesty, and accountability in all their actions. The Vigilance Pledge emphasized ethical conduct, combating corruption, and fostering a culture of trust and responsibility within the institution and society at large.

Following the pledge, the gathering paid a heartfelt tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary. A brief speech highlighted his monumental role in uniting the nation and his lifelong dedication to public service, discipline, and integrity—values that resonate deeply with the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week. A floral tribute was offered before his portrait, and students reflected on his inspiring legacy as the Iron Man of India.

As a part of the awareness campaign, the students and faculty participated enthusiastically in a vigilance awareness march across the campus. The march aimed to spread awareness about the importance of vigilance and the need for every citizen to contribute towards a corruption-free India.

The event concluded with motivating remarks by the Rector/ Co-ordinator of UIET, Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, who appreciated the participation and encouraged everyone to embodyhonesty, transparency, and anti-corruption values.
