JU,celebrates “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas”

Reasi Campus, University of Jammu, has celebrated “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” (National Unity Day) to commemorate the 150^th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31-10-2025. On this occasion Director, Reasi Campus, Prof. Sushil K. Pandey virtually joined event and threw light on the important contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel–The Iron Man of India. Prof. Pandey recalls Patel’s decisive role in the historic integration of more than 565 Princely States which cemented India’s unity and sovereignty. He described Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as the architect of Indian Administrative and Police framework. Prof. Pandey highlighted the efforts by the Government of India to make India as “Viksit Bharat” by 2047 while completing 100^th year of impendence. He has also motivated to the students to read the biographies of such nationalist personalities to know and understand the vison and contributions made by such great personalities to the society and country. Dr. Nisha Sharma has presided over the function by highlighting the great contributions of Sardar Patel and the importance of National Unity Day.

On the occasion, students of the Semesters I^st& III^rd have participated with full enthusiasm and also presented speeches and poetry related to the role of Sardar Patel in uniting and integrating the Nation. The students participated were Sonia Devi, Vishali Sharma, Shabina Kousar, Sarita Sharma and Renu Devi. The programme was managed by Dr. Nisha Sharma, Dr. Pankaj, Dr. Ravi Kumar, Ms. Nedhi Thakur and Babloo Salaria.
