The Skill, Innovation, Incubation, Entrepreneurship & Development Centre (SIIEDC) organized a two-day workshop on communication skills, with a special focus on media and technology, for students of the Design Your Degree (DYD) program. The workshop aimed to enhance students' professional competencies through interactive and experiential learning.
Prof. Alka Sharma, Director of SIIEDC, welcomed the resource persons, faculty members, and students, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in fostering both professional and personal growth. She also encouraged students to actively participate in the sessions to make the most of the opportunity.
In her remarks, Prof. Sadaf Shah, Associate Director of SIIEDC, introduced the concept behind the workshop, underscoring the importance of continuous professional development. She also introduced the resource persons, highlighting the value of experiential learning and exploring opportunities for future collaborations.
The resource persons, Ms. Jasleen Kaur and Mr. Tushar Bhardwaj, conducted interactive sessions that provided practical insights into topics such as analyzing visual media, the fundamentals of visual design, effective communication through visuals, and their role in storytelling. The sessions also included hands-on activities, enabling students to apply the knowledge to real-world scenarios and gain valuable experience.
The workshop concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Palvi Sachdeva. Among others present were Dr. Shallu Sehgal, Dr. Harish Dutt, Dr. Chinmoyee Maharana, and other faculty members.
