Prof. Sanjay Kataria, Librarian from Bennet University, Greater Noida delivered an enlightening lecture on the topic "Research Support Services in Academic Libraries” at Department of Library and Information Science, University of Jammu on 24th of December, 2024. Emphasizing the important role of Research support services in Libraries, Prof Sanjay discussed various factors. RSS (Research Support Service) is a very vital factor for Ranking, Accreditation and Benchmarking of the institution. Other reasons to initiate RSS are: Attract Research Grants, To Develop International Collaborations and Improve Academic and Social Visibility.

 Prof. Sangita Gupta, Head and Dean Social Sciences introduced Prof. Sanjay Kataria and  expressed her appreciation for his expertise in this field. The lecture was attended by faculty members (Dr. Meghna Dhar, Dr. Bindu Sharma, Mr. Ashwin Kushwaha and Dr. Reenu Arti Thakur), scholars, and students.
