To promote experiential and field based learning amongst the MBA (International Business) professionals, International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu flagged off MBA (International Business) students for 7-Day Leadership Development Program at Himalayan Vagabonds, Raison, Himachal Pradesh and Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi. The seven day leadership development programme is aimed to provide young international business students with an in-depth understanding of their strengths and areas of improvement so as to develop them into effective leaders. During the leadership program, the students shall be introduced to the different modules of leadership, derailment, personality, teambuilding, high fidelity business simulations, one-to-one coaching sessions and survival trainings.
In alignment with the New Education Policy-NEP 2020, the contents of Leadership Development Program have been designed to provide experiential and field based learning to the students as the programme is inclusive of acclimatization walks, local culture sensitization, interaction with local entrepreneurs, in-house adventure activities and team building exercises. The students shall also undergo one-to-one discussions with local entrepreneurs in order to gain awareness of the knowledge, skills, and attributes necessary to become effective entrepreneurs across diverse setups. The programme shall also help them to identify key interpersonal and teamwork skills in order to effectively manage teams and leverage diversity in experience by sharing feedback on their own and others’ interpersonal skills.
The allied objective of Leadership Development Program is also to develop a Personal Improvement Plan for each professional in order to introspect that at present where do they fall on the skill's scale and how to outline the process for achieving higher order critical and analytical skills.
