Programme specific outcomes

Classical Indian Philosophy II: The objective of this paper is to give a comprehensive and critical account of the various aspects of Classical Indian Philosophy. It attempts to give the students an insight into the multi-faceted and all-encompassing character of Indian philosophical thought.

Modern Western Philosophy II: The ideological contours of the world we live in have to a large extent been shaped by modern Western philosophers. The course aims to acquaint the students with a historical and critical understanding of the philosophical conceptions, questions, and theories discussed by prominent modern Western philosophers.

Philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism: The course aims to instruct the students in the broad doctrines of Kashmir Shaivism, its philosophy, ethics, and meditation. Various aspects of Kashmir Shaivism from its genesis to its structure to its influence shall be dealt within the purview of this course.

Introductory Logic: This course aims at cultivating within the students the skills of valid and correct reasoning. It aims to encourage them to apply critical reasoning in the personal sphere of reading, writing, and listening as well as the broader areas of human activity and interaction.
