INTER-COLLEGIATE FENCING (WOMEN) CHAMPIONSHIP 2023-24
 
Today the fencing (women) Championship organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, held at the University Fencing Hall with the following.
 
Event: Sabre Team
Gold Medal: GCW Parade. Team comprises of Sukriti Sharma, Harleen Kour, Mokshika Rana & Palvi Kumari.
Silver Medal: GDC Reasi. Team Comprises of Senha Sharma, Sonali Devi, Palak Bharati& Simran Devi.
Bronze Medal: GDC Katra Team comprises of Suneha Thakur, Vidhi Sharma, Parul Rajput & Sunina Rajput.
 
Event: Epee Team
Gold Medal: GDC Reasi. Team comprises of Riya Sharma, Palak Bharti, Preeti Devi & Priya Kumari. 
Silver Medal: GCW Parade. Team comprises of Apsha Gulzar, Rudrakshi vaid, Apoorva Bhuria & Harsha.
Bronze Medal: GDC Katra. Shallu Devi, Manisha Kesar, Shweta Malgotra & Sambri Sharma

Gold Medal: GDC Reasi Team comprises of Anjali Devi, Ninddiya Thakur, Sirmran Devi & Preeti Devi

The overall Inter-Collegiate Fencing (Women)Championship was won by GCW Parade with 37 points. 
 
 Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu awarded medals to the winner and overall Championship winner Trophy to the GCW Parade team in the presence of Harvinder Pal Singh, Ms. Suma Lata (PTI), Dr. Saleem Ahmed, Vishal Thapar (International Fencer) Prof. Harpal Singh .Irshada Bhagum, Shashi Kumar Sharma (PTI) Prof. Norin Akhter & Sanjeev Kumar Pandey. 
 
The matches were officiated by Sh. Ajay Kumar, Sh. Veer Sagram Singh, Maninder Pal Singh, Sh. Adarsd Salathia, Ranchan Saberwal, Javed Ahmed Chouwdary and Sdr. P.D Singh.

INTER-COLLEGIATE KHO-KHO (MEN) TOURNAMENT 2023-24
 
Jammu, October 19: Today on the second day of the Inter Collegiate Kho-Kho (M) Tournament 2023-24 organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, commenced at the University Kho-Kho Ground in the presence of large gathering of participants and guests.
In the first match of men section GDC Rajouri team beat GDC Paloura by 04 points (09-05).
In second match GDC Kathua beat GDC Reasi by 01 points. (10-09)
In third match PG. Deptt. JU beat Samba by 04 points (10-06)
The matches were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba Director Directorate of Sports and Physical Education University of Jammu.
The matches were officiated by Sh. Dheeraj Sharma, SH. Gagan Kumar, Sh. Palbinder Singh, Ms. Pooja Sharma and Sh. Anil Kumar.

In the 1st match of GDC Doda team beat GDC Reasi by 6 wickets.
The matches were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba Director Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, Jammu.
The matches were officiated by Vijay Kumar. Baber Irshad, Raj Kumar and Mr. Sajid Ali

   INTER-COLLEGIATE CRICKET (MEN) TOURNAMENT 2023-24

 
Jammu, October 19: Today the Inter Collegiate Cricket (M) Tournament 2023-24 organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, commenced at the GDC Rajouri Cricket Ground.
In the 1st match of GDC Nowshera team beat GMC Rajouri by 21 runs. GDC Nowshera 122/9 in 20 overs GMC Rajouri 100 All out.

P.G. Department JU and GDC Udhampur claimed Inter Collegiate Handball (W) and Handball (M) titles 2023-24
 
Jammu, October 19: The combined side of PG Department, Jammu University claimed Handball Women title and lift the winning trophy where as in Men Section GDC Udhampur clinches the winning trophy in the ongoing Inter Collegiate Handball (Men & Women) Tournament 2023-24 organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu at University Handball Court.
 
In the final matches, P.G. Department beats GDC Udhampur by a huge margin of 9-3 goals in Women section while GDC Udhampur outplayed PG Department by 22-7 goals in Men section respectively.
 
Earlier the in the both (Men & Women) 1st & 2nd semifinal matches were played between tPG. Deptt beat GDC Kunjwani by (10-08) scores, GDC Udhampur beat GDC Kathua by (14-04) scores and Third place secured by GDC Kunjwani by defeating GDC Kathua by (5-2) scores, in women section PG. Deptt beat GDC Udhampur by (4-0) scores and third place goes to GDC Udhampur beat GCW Parade by (2-0) scores
 
Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu awarded the trophies and medals to the winners and runner up team in the presence of Sh. Raj Kumar Bakshi, Sh. Ravish Vaid, Sh. Sh. Gagan Kumar, SH. Jai Bharat, Sdr. Padam Dev Singh,  Vikas Karlopia, Ms. Manu Singh Pawar., Sh. Rishiv Sharma, S, Inderjeet Singh and other Physical Directors of various Colleges.
 
The matches were officiated by Sh. Vinnay Sharma, Sh. Vipin Potra, Sh. Karun Sharma, Ms. Priya Sharma, Sh. Gourav Sharma. Ms. Richa Mandla.
