The Office of the Programme Coordinator, NSS, University of Jammu organized one day training workshop for the NSS Programme Officers of the Colleges and University of Jammu on 17^th April, 2023. The workshop was organised under the mentorship of Prof Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor and Chairman, NSS University of Jammu. The workshop was organised regarding the conduct of “National Survey of Youth not in formal Education and Regular Employment”. The Bilingual form which was shared by the Directorate, NSS New Delhi was discussed in detail during the workshop. Dr. Gurpreet Kour, Programme Officer, NSS, GCW, Parade was the Resource person in the workshop. Earlier, Dr. Hema Gandotra, Programme Coordinator, NSS welcomed the participants and threw light on the importance of the workshop. She highlighted the importance of this workshop in the conduct of the survey by different NSS Units in the adopted villages. She further emphasized the role of NSS volunteer in the collection of the data which will further help the policy makers in framing the policy for the youth in the coming years. The NSS Programme Officers discussed various issues during the workshop and thanked the Office of the Programme coordinator, NSS for the organization of such workshop.
