International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM) University of Jammu organized a session on Carreer Counselling for the students of Department of Commerce, Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt. PG College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu under the theme “Faculty Alumni Outreach Activity”. The programme was held under the guidance of Prof. Hardeep Chahal, Director, ICccR & HRM, JU.
The session was organized with the objective of counseling students to understand the career opportunities in the domain of international business. The faculty of ICccR & HRM, JU and alumni provided insights about the various career prospects, skills and competencies that are required to function effectively in the global business arena. The deliberations highlighted the link between positive career development starting from educational institutions and intrinsic motivation that creates high performance in global workplaces.
The interaction also highlighted the key role played by ICccR & HRM, JU in preparing students through the MBA (International Business) Programme which encapsulates the essence of international business knowledge through teaching, research, industry-academia interfaces, collaborative initiatives, seminars, workshops and immersion programmes.
About 100 students of final semester attended the session and gained new insights in future avenues available to them for their upcoming careers.
