School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, University of Jammu organized an educational day trip to Pauni, Reasi for the students of MBA (HT) and BBA (HM) under the supervision of Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director-SHTM. The students attended Ati Vishnu Mahayagya which was arranged by Sant Sri Bal Yogeshwar Das Ji Maharaj to pay homage to the great martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in the service of the country.The families of the martyrs also attended this Mahayagya. The students of SHTM sought the blessings of Sant Sri Bal Yogeshwar Das Ji Maharaj and also visited all the 108 Havan-Kundas where the pictures of Martyrs were installed. Prof. Parikshat detailed that the visit to religious sites is part of the religious tourism program of SHTM under which the students are able to understand the importance of religious tourism and build up innovative strategies to promote religious tourism.
The students also got the opportunity to witness Armed Forces Flag Day celebration at Pauni, Reasi. This day is observed to honour the martyrs and men in uniform who valiantly fought and continue to fight for our country's honour. The students actively participated in the various activities organized at the site and interacted with Sh. Pankaj Modi, younger brother of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi ji. Dr. Priyanka Sharma was the teacher in-charge along with Mr. Shubam Gupta and Mr. Ranjeet Singh.
